Library

Reading for pleasure inside and outside of school has real and long lasting benefits. It unlocks the power of information and imagination, increases literacy skills, and helps children discover who they are as well as the wider world around them.

The library is utilised by students across the school. Students from Foundation to Year 6 use our Library as part of a scheduled class once a week. During these sessions, students are encouraged to read and borrow books.

The library collection consists of the following:

  • Big Books
  • Picture Books
  • Easy Stories
  • Easy Readers
  • Fiction
  • Novels and Pictures Books for Older Readers (Years 5 to 6)
  • Graphic Novels
  • Manga
  • Non-Fiction

The library is open at lunchtimes every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for all children to browse and borrow books. It is also an opportunity for children to have a quiet space where they have access to colouring and drawing, card games and chess.
